Adventure Comics is one of the most important and influential comic book series of all time. It was first published in 1935 and ran for over 500 issues, introducing some of the most iconic superheroes in history, including Superman, Supergirl, and the Legion of Super-Heroes.

Adventure Comics was created by editor Mort Weisinger and artist Paul Norris. The series was originally intended to be an anthology title, featuring a variety of different stories and characters. However, Weisinger quickly realized that the Superman stories were the most popular with readers, and he soon began to focus the series on the Man of Steel.

Over the years, Adventure Comics became a showcase for some of the greatest Superman stories ever written. Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster, the creators of Superman, wrote and drew many of the early stories in the series. Other notable writers and artists who worked on Adventure Comics include Otto Binder, Curt Swan, and Jim Shooter.

In addition to Superman, Adventure Comics also introduced a number of other popular characters, including Supergirl, Krypto the Superdog, and the Legion of Super-Heroes. The Legion of Super-Heroes was a team of young superheroes from the 30th century who became one of the most popular groups in comics. They were created by Otto Binder and Al Plastino.

Adventure Comics was published by DC Comics for most of its history. However, in 1983, the series was canceled and replaced by a new Superman title, Superman: The Man of Steel. Adventure Comics was revived in 2009, but it was canceled again in 2011.
