Together, they travel across the dangerous and unforgiving world of Avalar. They face challenges at every turn, but they never give up hope. They learn to rely on each other, and they form a strong bond that will help them through any challenge.

As they travel, Deacon and his companions begin to learn more about the world around them. They discover that Avalar is a place of magic and mystery, and that there are many dangers lurking in the shadows.

But Deacon is not afraid. He is determined to find a new home for himself and his companions, and he will not let anything stand in his way.

Excerpt from Chapter 1

Deacon stood at the edge of the forest, looking out at the vast and unforgiving world beyond. He had been traveling for days, ever since the raiders had attacked his village and killed his family. He was alone and afraid, but he was also determined to find a new home.

"I can do this," he whispered to himself. "I have to."

He took a deep breath and stepped into the forest. The trees were tall and thick, and the sunlight barely reached the ground. Deacon could hear the sound of animals moving through the underbrush, and he knew that he was being watched.

He walked for hours, until he came to a clearing. In the middle of the clearing was a small cottage. Deacon hesitated for a moment, but then he walked towards it.

The door to the cottage was open, and Deacon could see a woman sitting inside. She was old and frail, with long white hair and a kind face.

"Hello," Deacon said. "My name is Deacon Frost."

"Hello, Deacon," the woman said. "Welcome to my home. Come in and rest."

Deacon stepped into the cottage and sat down at the table. The woman gave him some food and water, and he ate and drank gratefully.

"Thank you," Deacon said. "I'm so grateful for your hospitality."

"You're welcome, Deacon," the woman said. "You're a long way from home. What brings you to Avalar?"

Deacon told the woman about his village being attacked and his family being killed. He told her about his journey to find a new home.

The woman listened patiently to Deacon's story. When he was finished, she said, "I'm sorry for your loss, Deacon. But you're a strong young man. I know you'll find a new home."

"Thank you," Deacon said. "I hope you're right."

Deacon stayed with the woman for several days. She taught him about the world of Avalar and the dangers that lurked within it. She also taught him how to defend himself.

When it was time for Deacon to leave, the woman gave him a hug and said, "Good luck, Deacon. I know you'll find your way."

Deacon thanked the woman and set off into the forest once more. He was still alone and afraid, but he was also more confident than he had been before. He knew that he could face whatever challenges came his way.
